Quick Winrar tutorial

ALWAYS SCAN YOUR .RAR FILES BEFORE EXTRACTING!!!!! Use a good virus scanning software.


To use winrar:
you will need to download ALL parts of the .rar files for whatever you want. ie if a movie has 8 parts then you will have to download all 8 parts. Same with Apps., music, pics, or whatever. YOU MUST HAVE ALL PARTS OF THE .RAR FILE DOWNLOADED TO BE ABLE TO EXTRACT THEM!!!

After downloaded left click with your mouse and select (extract to (whatever the file name is)), if the .rar files are password protected you will have to enter the password now. (the password should be on the post you got the links from). After the files are through extracting you should see the extracted folder on your desktop. Open the folder and your movie, app, or whatever should be there ready to go.

to compress and split files for upload
open winrar and click on the "wizard", select "create a new archive" and click "next", select the folder or file you want to compress. Name the archive and click "next", here is the splitting part. look for this "If you wish to split the archive to several parts, enter the size of a single part, in bytes, in the field below", this is the drop down box to select the size of the files. Select the size and click on "finish". it should start compressing the files into the respective sizes.

Once this is through you are ready to upload to your favorite file hosting site.
